Leaning to the right of the main facade of the Monastery, stands the Chapel of the Founder.
Not being part of the original plan for the Batalha Monastery, is the result of the decision of King João I to do a family Pantheon, having asked the master Huguet the responsibility of planning the construction completed around 1433/34.
Is a space full of historical significance and artístic.
