This is the Best Private Tour to learn more about Lisbon Jewish Heritage, one of the oldest cities in Europe and capital of the oldest European country.

Lisbon has always been a meeting-place for different people. Important Jewish Communities settled in the region and contributed to the flourishing of it's trade and culture

This tour is the opportunity to see some of the most important Jewish heritage in the city, such as the Lisbon Synagouge built in the 19th century, the Dom Pedro Square better known as Rossio, where the Court of the Inquisition was held, at the site where the Dona Maria national theatre and the Jewish Memorial stand now.

Near the Penha de Franca distrit is located the Jewish Cemetery built in 1868 and still used by the Jewish community, it's grave markers are generally horizontal, in the Sephardic fashion. In Alfama, one of the most emblematic districts of Lisbon, there was a small Jewish quarter until the 14th century built on land that King Dom Dinis had given to their chief rabbi, Judas Navarro.
